Coached strength training
Nine platforms, calibrated plates and a coach on the floor for every hour we are open. You learn the squat, the bench, the deadlift and the press from someone watching you do it — not from a diagram stuck on a machine.
Month to month, priced per person, and joining costs nothing. Your first week is free on every plan, whichever one you pick. Cancel from your account whenever you like — no notice period, no exit fee, and no call with a retention team.

Coached sessions start on the clock and run 45 to 120 minutes. Open gym runs around them, so you can always train. Nothing needs booking — turn up ten minutes early and a coach will fit you in.

Nobody walks in, gets pointed at a machine and is left alone. Here is exactly what the first hour looks like, so there is nothing to be nervous about.
Send one message or call the desk. We ask two things: your name, and whether you have held a barbell before. If you have not, you start in the beginners' intro on Saturday morning.
A coach walks you round the platforms, sets your starting weights on the four main lifts and shows you where the chalk, belts and collars live. You will squat something before you leave.
Book onto any session your plan covers. Tell the coach it is your first week and they will put you with someone lifting at your level rather than leave you at the back.
Four coaches, all of whom still train and compete. In your first month you will work with each of them, and then settle on whoever fits how you learn.
Barbell strength and competition prep. Runs the Tuesday deadlift clinic and both Thursday and Monday night strength clubs.
Olympic lifting and the press. Also runs the Sunday long session, which is where the heavy singles and the arguing about technique happen.
Beginners, over-fifties, and anyone nervous about getting under a bar. Has probably taught more first squats here than the rest of us combined.
Back to lifting after a long break, and the Friday open platform, where you bring your own programme and ask for eyes on one lift.
Long-standing members, in their own words. Names shortened at their request.
I joined never having touched a barbell. Six months on, the weight I warm up with is what I used to count as a good day, and I finally understand why the set-up matters.
The coaches watch. That is the whole difference. Someone catches my bench slipping before it turns into a habit I carry around for a year.
I train at six before work, three mornings a week. It is open, the coach is awake, and I have never once waited for a platform.
Three coached sessions, chalk and belt use, and no card details. Come in, train, and decide afterwards. If the week ends and you do nothing, nothing happens.
